Moon Maiden Natural Living Project

Our philosophy for natural building is a mirror to our yoga Philosophy being β€” there is room for everybody on the creation site. Every job is an important and intricate vessel for our own personal journey in natural building. Leaning into being a piece of a bigger physical vision.

Our first community build is a partnership we feel to be a life long project of healing, growing and grieving together. Sharing stories, mud stomping, amazing food, and high emotions. The vulnerability you allow in when getting your hands dirty with a group of other humans inspired to learn and heal is thrilling.

Therapist Cherri Thompson shares a lot of common beliefs and at the core of those are community, nature and mental health. We were determined to make this projects and many more to come a center of healing for ourselves and others. Working slow, with the same small group over months created a camaraderie that is hard to explain. It’s like playing on a sports league, theater group or group therapy.

We would absolutely adore to add your hands and feet to the mix, healing, stopping mud and eating delicious food.

Seeing community members as eyes light up when seeing the progress. Seeing our own eyes light up at the end of a big weekend. Lifting windows onto the wall was a weekend we all anticipated and were very please with ourselves by then end. The next adventure has been wine bottles and roofing. Plenty more to come in the next season of our build from lime wash, natural pigment paint workshops, plaster sculpting workshop, and a large scale mosaic.
